St. John Lutheran Church

About this church

St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville worships at 9:00 a.m. Sundays with a traditional Lutheran service blending liturgy, hymns, and contemporary songs. A printed order helps visitors follow Scripture, confession and forgiveness, preaching, prayer, music, and the sacraments. Holy Communion is celebrated on first and third Sundays and major festival days, and online worship is available through the congregation's official Facebook presence.

The North American Lutheran Church congregation summarizes its calling as growing in grace, living by faith, and serving with love. Its building is air-conditioned and accessible, with a nursery available. Connect Groups and service opportunities help people move from worship into relationships and practical ministry. The church's history reaches back more than 170 years, with its current NALC affiliation dating from 2010. First-time guests can arrive shortly before 9:00 and use the bulletin as a guide; people joining remotely should use the online-worship page for the current Facebook link rather than expect an embedded stream on every church page.
