The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Lancaster, Ohio

About this church

At 1071 Sheridan Drive in Lancaster, Ohio, stands the city's only meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Canal Winchester, about 15 miles off, has the nearest other. Wheelchair-accessible features here include the entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating.

The Lancaster Ward meets Sundays there, sacrament meeting starting at 10 a.m. and the block running until 12 p.m. Hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members of the congregation fill that first hour, with classes, Primary included, following in the second. No charge or collection is involved, and visitors are welcome in whatever they choose to wear. Local schedules like this are set by congregation leaders and can change from year to year, so a phone call ahead of a first visit is sensible.
