First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church of Middletown gathers Sundays at 10:30 a.m. for a service blending traditional and contemporary worship. The gathering lasts about an hour and is webcast live, with special services and events also broadcast during the year. Dress ranges from casual clothes to ties and dresses. Elementary children begin in the sanctuary with their families and may leave after the children's message for Children's Church, offered on alternating weeks for kindergarten through third grade.

The congregation wants children to know, love, and follow Jesus through age-appropriate learning from early childhood onward. Students in grades four through twelve remain for the full worship service, while American Baptist Youth provides a separate connection for grades seven through twelve. Music ministries support both the traditional and contemporary elements of Sunday worship, and health ministry adds practical care within congregational life. Newcomers can preview the livestream, come directly to the clearly timed service, and choose whatever clothing feels comfortable. Families should check whether Children's Church is scheduled that week, though children are always welcome to remain with their parents for the entire gathering.
