About this church

Vineyard Community Church worships Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Newcomers can stop at the cafe for free coffee and should allow extra time for first-time children's registration at the check-in area. Children of every age may instead stay with their family in the main service. The church practices believer's baptism by immersion and offers Communion to all believers. Its charismatic identity includes prayer for healing, laying on of hands, spiritual gifts, and empowerment by the Holy Spirit. Formerly called Faith Chapel, the congregation joined the Association of Vineyard Churches and adopted its present name on January 1, 2005.

Local service includes Upward Soccer, a community playground, and free medical, vision, and pregnancy-care clinics. Monthly service projects give participants a way to meet people while helping nearby residents. International work supports meals for children in Haiti, clean water in Brazil's Amazon region, wheelchairs in Vietnam and Cambodia, and a Convoy of Hope program equipping women through education, training, and livelihood resources. Life Groups meet on varied schedules for community, prayer, couples, men, and sewing and crafts; some are onsite and others in homes. Questions still open include how long worship runs, what visitors hear musically and from the pulpit, when Communion occurs, which ages receive children's care, how workers are screened, what people wear, where they park, which accessibility aids exist, and whether a stream is offered.
