Westlake United Methodist Church

About this church

Westlake United Methodist Church gathers at 10:00 a.m. Sunday for classic worship, available in the sanctuary, by livestream, and through Facebook Live. A less formal Wednesday service begins at 6:30 p.m. with sing-along worship, prayer, and Communion. The congregation summarizes its spiritual life as loving God, following Jesus, and living in the Holy Spirit. Its two worship formats let visitors choose between a fuller traditional Sunday morning and a simpler midweek gathering.

Children's ministry offers age-directed summer programming for toddlers through sixth grade, with a quiet room always open for parents and babies. The church also operates food ministries and a community meal, supports a Westlake urban children's choir, and organizes youth, spiritual-growth, and caring ministries. Mission and social justice are described as foundational rather than optional: members are encouraged to speak for people facing oppression and turn compassion into tangible service. Partnerships range from local to international work, supported by both volunteers and giving. A visitor can therefore expect a traditional United Methodist worship center whose weekday life leans strongly toward food assistance, formation, music, and justice-minded community service.
