Claremore Church of the Nazarene

About this church

Claremore Church of the Nazarene is a multigenerational Wesleyan-Holiness congregation whose worship joins traditional hymns, contemporary praise, Scripture reading, and pastoral teaching. Sunday discipleship classes for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m.; morning worship starts at 10:30 and is described as roughly 90 minutes, with childcare and time afterward to meet people. A Life Application service follows at 5 p.m. Prayer meets Wednesday at 6, then adult Bible study, children's ministry, and Metamorphosis teens begin at 6:30. The church identifies itself as Protestant, Bible-based, and shaped by John Wesley's holiness tradition, with a goal of forming people who live like Christ.

Claremore Naz Kids welcomes children from six weeks through fifth grade. First-time families receive help finding the right room, lessons use several learning styles, and the church says every children's volunteer is trained, screened, and background-checked. Student small groups publish a Wednesday 6:30–7:30 p.m. schedule. The congregation began in 2004 with pastors Will and Leslie Solomon and a small circle of family and friends, moved into its first building in 2006, and outgrew it by 2009. Visitors should note that official pages alternate between 1336 and 1340 North Dorothy Avenue and one homepage banner still says 10 a.m.; the detailed schedule consistently gives 10:30 worship, so confirm before traveling.
