First Baptist Church of Harrah

About this church

First Baptist Church of Harrah worships at 10 a.m. on Sunday, with Growth Groups at 9 and 11:15. The roughly 90-minute service blends contemporary music with occasional traditional hymns and uses expository preaching; casual dress is welcome. Preschool children age four and younger can check into Preschool Worship, while grade-school children begin in the main service with activities that help them listen. Greeters at the west entrance guide families to children's check-in and the worship center, and the church recommends parking on the north or west sides of the property.

The Southern Baptist congregation describes itself as family-focused and committed to evangelism and missions. Midweek programs include a meal, children's and student activities, men's and women's groups, and worship-team rehearsal. The Harrah Ministry Center provides food and clothing assistance Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon and again from 6 to 8 p.m. A judo ministry meets Monday and Thursday evenings in the Family Life Center. For a first Sunday, visitors can select a Growth Group around the central worship service; families should allow extra time for check-in and can take confidence from the church's published training and background-check requirements for youth workers.
