Mount Hermon Church

About this church

Mount Hermon Church in Jay begins Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday worship at 11:00. Wednesday fellowship and youth services both begin at 6:00 p.m. The congregation's mission is to demonstrate God's love, lead people toward a personal relationship with Christ, and help Christians grow through worship, Bible study, and service. Online worship is available for those who cannot attend in person. Children and teenagers have dedicated ministry areas, while the Family Life Center adds classrooms, a kitchen, and gymnasium for formation, meals, and recreation beyond the sanctuary.

Mount Hermon was formally organized as an interdenominational church in the 1960s. Its campus history reflects sustained local participation: expansions added classrooms, nursery space, a baptistry, and family facilities; members completed much of a larger sanctuary in 1997, the present sanctuary followed in 2003, and a two-story youth center was dedicated in 2008 after the student program outgrew its rooms. Elder leadership is responsible for teaching, protection, spiritual development, evangelism, mission, stewardship, and church discipline. The congregation also supports mission work in Italy. Visitors will find a classic rural weekly rhythm—Sunday School before one worship service and parallel Wednesday fellowship and youth programming—within a campus largely built around family and student ministry.
