Westminster Presbyterian Church

About this church

Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lawton holds Sunday worship at 11:00 a.m. in person, on Zoom, and through YouTube Live. Adult Sunday School begins at 9:30, with children and youth meeting at 10:00. Children are welcome in the main service; the church supplies rocking chairs and sensory aids, welcomes nursing in the sanctuary, and keeps a nursery available when little ones need a break. A Monday adult Bible study starts at 4:30 p.m., and the choir rehearses Thursdays at 5:30 without auditions.

The church’s West Gore Boulevard building is itself part of its community ministry. Westminster reports that roughly 300 neighbors use the space each week for exercise classes, Scouting, square, round, and line dancing, foster-grandparent training, and other activities. It also serves as a polling place and supports the Lawton Food Bank. The congregation describes its mission in terms of compassion, respect, inclusion, spiritual growth, and work for peace and justice in Lawton and Fort Sill. Prospective visitors will find a church where online participation and family accommodations are clearly explained, while the building functions throughout the week as a gathering place for civic, social, and service organizations.
