First Presbyterian Church of Ponca City

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Ponca City now shares worship, mission, and ministry with First United Methodist Church under the theme “Two Churches, One Faith.” The Presbyterian congregation retains its identity and history while the two communities function together for current public gatherings. Its mission record includes local service, food and child-development support, environmental and water projects, and international relationships in Haiti and the Czech Republic.

Joint worship begins Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church, 200 South Sixth Street in Ponca City—not at the directory’s City View Road address. That venue distinction is essential for a first visit. The official homepage also provides recent worship videos on YouTube for people unable to attend. The music ministry draws on volunteers, while mission teams have supported Dwight Mission, solar-powered clean-water infrastructure, and an English camp connected with the Evangelical Czech Brethren Church. The website does not publish a separate current Presbyterian-only service, so visitors should not infer one from the congregation’s historic address. Calendar entries and homepage notices should be checked for joint special services. The directory name can be simplified to the congregation’s own name while the description preserves the unusual shared-ministry arrangement and the correct Sunday destination.
