Christ Church UCC

About this church

Christ Church UCC offers two distinct Sunday experiences at 75 East Market Street in downtown Bethlehem. At 9:15 a.m., the Gathering Place hosts informal, contemporary worship with coffee, conversation, small-group sharing, Scripture, and music. At 10:30, the sanctuary service uses traditional hymns, newer favorites, choirs, prayer, and preaching; it is also streamed on Facebook. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, with participation left to each visitor’s comfort.

Families can use Sunday School, normally scheduled from 9:30 to 10:15, before attending the later service. Street parking surrounds the church, and the nearby James Funeral Home lot is available during Sunday worship. Community service is central to the congregation’s downtown identity: a weekend lunch program operated with Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering serves local street neighbors Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. These details make the choice between services meaningful. Guests seeking conversation and an intimate setting may prefer 9:15; those drawn to choir and sanctuary worship should choose 10:30. Check the first-visit page for current education dates before bringing children.
