Blessed Sacrament Cathedral celebrates weekend Mass Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. at 300 North Main Street in Greensburg. Public weekday Mass is offered Monday through Friday at 11:45 and livestreamed. Saturday confessions begin at 11:00 a.m. in the church confessionals and continue until everyone present has been heard.

The parish’s history extends to March 10, 1789. Benedictine priests from Saint Vincent Monastery assumed responsibility in 1853 and served for nearly a century. The present English Gothic sandstone church grew from a 1923 building campaign, and the parish became the cathedral of the newly established Diocese of Greensburg in 1951. Youth Ministry welcomes grades six through twelve, with Confirmation preparation integrated into Sunday-evening sessions for eighth-grade and high-school candidates. Visitors therefore encounter both a functioning diocesan cathedral and a parish with routine weekday access: three weekend choices, daily lunchtime Mass, livestreaming, Saturday confession, and formation for teenagers. The parish office is open weekdays from 9:00 to 3:00, closing from noon to 1:00 for lunch.
