Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church

About this church

Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church, commonly called McBIC, offers two identical Sunday services alongside age-specific formation and a livestream. Its Brethren in Christ identity connects worship with discipleship, community, and service. Children from infancy through fifth grade have programming during both gatherings, while middle- and high-school students study the Bible during the earlier hour. Monthly board-game nights, men’s breakfasts, and Discover McBIC classes give newcomers several low-pressure ways to build relationships and learn how the congregation works.

Sunday worship begins at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. at 1050 South York Street. The 9:30 service streams on Facebook, and recordings remain available afterward. During the 11:00 gathering, elementary children begin in the main service for worship before being dismissed to McBIC Kids; both hours otherwise provide children’s options. Parking surrounds the building, with overflow in the auto-auction lot behind the church and accessible spaces near the entrance. The youth center is upstairs at the rear of the building. A men’s breakfast meets at Brothers Diner on the first Saturday of each month at 7:00 a.m., while board-game night runs on the final Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
