River Church of Juniata County

About this church

River Church of Juniata County gathers Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in Mifflintown. Its central rhythm is summarized as prayer, worship, and the Word, with services and an online archive giving newcomers a way to hear teaching before a visit. House of Prayer meets Mondays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for a more extended time of prayer and worship. The congregation emphasizes unity among Christians in the community and describes itself as a place where people can meet Jesus, build life-giving relationships, and learn to follow Christ in everyday life.

River Youth welcomes students from age twelve through twelfth grade Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room. River Kids, small groups, and other weekly gatherings offer age-specific and smaller settings beyond the main service. A care team supports church members through counseling, meals, hospital visits, practical assistance, and help with work projects, reflecting the church’s phrase “Worship One. Love all.” The Community Room is also available for rental by contacting the office during its published weekday hours. River Church is at 105 CJEMS Lane; check the current calendar for small groups and special events, since the Sunday and Monday gatherings are more consistently published than other ministry times.
