Siloam Baptist Church

About this church

Siloam Baptist Church gathers for Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. in Norristown, with church-school classes for all ages and prayer and Bible study offered at noon and 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The congregation tells first-time guests to expect singing, prayer, biblical preaching, and a range of dress from suits and ties to casual clothing. Parking is beside the church, with the closest spaces useful for people with limited mobility or adults carrying young children. A Willow Street entrance provides street-level access to an elevator serving the building.

The church describes more than 120 years of ministry in greater Norristown. Its historical account traces the congregation to Thursday gatherings known as Maids Day Off, followed by services held above a Chinese laundry on DeKalb Street as the group grew. Today, its stated mission is to share love and hope locally and around the world. Ministries include youth fellowship for ages 13 through 18, Bible study and small-group fellowship for men and women, hospitality and scholarship support, and food assistance for neighbors. Global involvement includes missionaries and development work. Greeters help newcomers locate the sanctuary, classrooms, restrooms, and elevator, making the official visitor page especially useful before arrival.
