Uniontown Church of the Brethren

About this church

Uniontown Church of the Brethren is an Anabaptist congregation in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, where discipleship is expressed through worship, education, fellowship, and practical service. Its distinctive practices include believer’s baptism, anointing in times of illness or distress, and Love Feast with foot washing, a shared meal, and Communion modeled on Jesus’ last supper. The church’s nurture ministries help people develop gifts for Christian service, while its witness ministries connect the gospel with concerns for love, justice, peace, security, and freedom in the local community and wider world.

Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by morning worship at 10:30. Children from age four through fifth grade may join children’s church, with drop-off available at 10:20; on the final Sunday of each month they begin in the main service and share something they have learned. The church is at 20 Robinson Street. Visitors can expect a congregation that gives equal visibility to spiritual formation and service. Love Feasts and other special observances do not follow the ordinary Sunday schedule, so consult the current calendar before planning around those events.
