Rocky Creek Missionary Baptist Church has served the Simpsonville area since 1895, when its first congregation gathered in a log schoolhouse and baptized fifteen members after an early revival. Sunday school now begins at 9:00 a.m. and morning worship at 10:00, with Wednesday Bible study at 7:00 and an additional Thursday study listed at noon. The church’s mission is to produce “kingdom citizens” through evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, worship, and service, captured in its continuing call to train and involve the entire congregation.

That involvement is visible in an unusually broad ministry structure. Alongside Christian education, music, hospitality, prayer, and youth work are ministries for married couples, singles, men, women, young women, recreation, scholarships, prison outreach, and care for sick or homebound neighbors. New members are offered an orientation to the church’s beliefs and life together. The historic church survived a 1911 fire, expanded across later generations, dedicated a new sanctuary in 1987, and completed a Life Center in 2007. Today it meets at 239 Rocky Creek Road.
