About this church

Church at Cane Bay is a Summerville congregation working to give every person in its surrounding area repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel of Jesus. Its rhythm is to gather for worship and scatter for service. Weekly missional communities organize around local missions, while two- or three-person Huddles add Bible study and accountability. The church has also pursued nearby church planting, beginning with Kingdom Church in Nexton.

Sunday worship begins at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Children from birth through fourth grade have programming at both services. Infants through kindergarten check in before worship; first through fourth graders begin with their families and are dismissed later. Matching security tags, screened and trained volunteers, background-checked security teams, and text alerts support the check-in process. The church also offers trained one-to-one buddies for children who need individualized help. Students in grades six through twelve meet Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for games, worship, a message, and small groups; no advance registration is required for student gatherings. Missional communities meet weekly, but their locations depend on the mission each group serves. New visitors interested in membership or a ministry introduction can register for Connect, while families can use the parent resource group to follow the children’s curriculum at home.
