First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church in Westminster, which also goes by Westminster First Baptist Church, meets on West Oak Highway. Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m., and worship services are held Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., with another gathering Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The church takes the Great Commission from Matthew 28 as its guiding passage and describes itself as centered on Jesus Christ and on caring for people and their families. Sermons are posted on the website, and the church also has Facebook and YouTube pages. Times can change, so check the website before visiting.

The First Kids ministry offers Sunday school for ages two through fifth grade, nursery care for infants, and a children's worship service for 4K through fifth grade during the 10:30 service; all children's workers must have a current background check. Kids For Christ meets Sunday at 5 p.m. with Bible study, games, crafts, and a gardening club. On Wednesdays, dinner is served in the fellowship hall at 5:45 p.m. for a small charge, followed by children's choir, Mission Friends for preschoolers, and Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors for first through fifth graders. Youth hold Bible studies on Sunday and Wednesday evenings and take mission trips. A women's ministry meets monthly on a Tuesday evening, and a missions night is held once a month on Wednesday.
