Great Oaks Church of Christ

About this church

Great Oaks Church of Christ is a Bartlett congregation describing itself as Christ-centered, Bible-based, family-oriented, and committed to God, one another, and the community. Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes create small-group settings for prayer, relationships, and rotating studies, while worship follows the New Testament practices taught by Jesus and the apostles. Teen ministry adds regular classes, mission trips, church camp, summer events, and intergenerational service with children and older adults.

Sunday Bible classes for every age begin at 9:00 a.m. Morning worship starts at 10:00 and usually ends between 11:00 and 11:15. Evening worship begins at 5:00, often followed by devotionals or informal gatherings. Wednesday classes are offered at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.; the evening meeting starts with a fifteen- to twenty-minute auditorium devotional before age groups separate. Adult class topics normally change every three months, and summer Wednesdays may become a guest-speaker series. The visitor guide explains the congregation’s prayers, singing, Scripture, preaching, and other worship elements, helping newcomers understand its simple Church of Christ pattern. Families can review the current class list before arriving rather than assuming every age studies the same subject.
