Providence Baptist Church of Coopertown

About this church

Providence Baptist Church of Coopertown is an Independent Baptist congregation on Highway 49 West, with a Springfield mailing address, that meets several times each week. Sunday school classes begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Sunday morning service at 10:30 a.m. and an evening service at 6 p.m., and a midweek service is held Wednesdays at 7 p.m. The church describes its teaching as grounded in Scripture and centered on knowing God through Jesus Christ. Services are streamed live through the media section of the website. Greeters and ushers help guests find a seat, and a safety team is on hand during services.

Children are cared for in a nursery during all services, and Sunday school classes are grouped from toddlers through older elementary ages. Children's church runs during the morning service, and Master Clubs meets Wednesday evenings for Bible study and Scripture memory. Teens in grades 7 through 12 have their own Sunday school classes and a group called TNT (Teens in Training) that meets most Sunday evenings and on Wednesdays. Adults can join a men's Bible study early on Friday mornings, a women's Bible study on Monday mornings, or one-on-one discipleship. Outreach includes a visitation ministry, support for missionaries, Samaritan's Purse Christmas boxes, and community service projects. The church also runs Coopertown Christian Academy. Visitors can schedule a visit online; confirm current times on the website.
