First Church Baytown

About this church

First Church Baytown gathers Sundays at 10:30 a.m., with worship streamed live on Facebook. The Baytown congregation is part of the wider First Church network and has been led by campus pastors Jonathan and Brenda Elms since the congregation elected Jonathan in 2021. Nursery care serves children from six months through age three, and Kids Church for first through fifth grade uses games, energetic worship, Bible memory, object lessons, small groups, and prayer.

The Pentecostal church describes its vision as building a community of authentic believers and seeing the city transformed as people know Jesus. Groups range from activities to Bible studies, while youth, young adults, missions, and service teams provide next steps beyond Sunday. Children's take-home devotionals are designed to continue the week's lesson with families, and nursery toys are cleaned weekly. Visitors should use the Baytown campus page rather than the network's general planning page when confirming location or leadership. Facebook Live offers a direct preview of the 10:30 service, while the age-specific children’s pages explain what families can expect after arrival.
