The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Hereford

About this church

Hereford, Texas has a single meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the directory, at 500 Country Club Drive; the nearest other building is in Amarillo, close to thirty-seven miles north. Its entrance, parking, restroom, and seating are all wheelchair accessible.

Hereford Branch gathers at 10 a.m. every Sunday, holding its two-hour block. The first hour is sacrament meeting, hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks given by branch members, and a second hour of classes comes next, with Primary for the children. A visitor gives nothing and is asked for nothing; there is no offering plate. Dress among the branch ranges from formal to plain. As with any small branch, the schedule is set locally and can move from year to year, so a quick call ahead of a first visit is a sensible precaution.
