Journey Bible Fellowship

About this church

Journey Bible Fellowship gathers at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday at 3429 Journey Parkway in Leander, just north of Stiles Middle School and Akin Elementary. The church describes itself as a Christ-centered family growing as disciples and sharing the gospel. Children from birth through fifth grade have age-based environments, secure matching-tag pickup, and trained, background-checked volunteers. A Special Abilities class meets during the 11 a.m. service, and families are asked to contact the ministry beforehand so leaders can prepare well.

Students in grades six through twelve worship with their families on Sunday, then gather for REFRESH from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday during the school year. That meeting balances games, a large-group Bible lesson, and separate small groups. Community work includes weekly reading partnerships with first- through third-grade students in Leander ISD and a monthly Foster Parent Night Out on the fourth Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Global partners work in Bible translation, university ministry, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Southeast Asia, and North Africa. Sunday coffee also supports farmers and ministry through Team Hope. For a first-time family, the 11 a.m. hour is the specific choice for Special Abilities ministry; other households can choose either service. Parents should allow extra time for child check-in, while teenagers can expect to remain in the main gathering rather than leave for a separate Sunday program.
