First Lutheran Church ELCA

About this church

First Lutheran Church of Longview is an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregation with two Sunday services, at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Each lasts about an hour and blends traditional and contemporary elements, with congregational music supported by a choir. Fellowship and learning take place between services in the café area. The church’s welcome is deliberately broad: guests are invited across differences of age, race, sexual orientation, dress, questions, and life circumstances. Its Longview story dates to 1935.

Families can use a nursery during either service for children through age three. Children’s Church serves older children through fifth grade, while the youth pathway continues from early childhood through high-school graduation. The congregation also points to an on-site tutoring center, quilt-making for people who need warmth, ministry partnerships, music programs, and a free Bible-based addiction-recovery ministry. First Lutheran meets at 3901 Bill Owens Parkway. A first-time visitor can expect accessible choices between two worship times and structured family support; checking the current calendar remains useful for classes and service projects that run on their own schedules.
