Mexia First Assembly

About this church

Mexia First Assembly gathers for Sunday worship at 10 a.m. at 1100 North Ross Avenue. The church's visitor page describes a casual environment with modern worship, biblical teaching, and no expectation that guests dress a particular way. Tuesday begins with prayer at 5:30 p.m., followed by groups at 6:30. Wednesday's NexGEN night runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and brings age-specific ministries together during the same evening. Because the church also posts special events, first-time guests can use the current homepage to check for any holiday or seasonal adjustment.

Children's ministry serves babies through fifth grade. The early-childhood rooms cover birth through age five, while elementary programming uses worship, Bible teaching, small groups, and activities intended to help children apply what they learn. The church says volunteers are screened and background-checked, and parents use a check-in process for added security. Student ministry gives middle- and high-school students worship, teaching, relationships, and opportunities to serve. Other ministry pathways include adults, missions, prayer, worship, and community-focused events. Mexia First Assembly frames worship as active participation rather than a performance, inviting the congregation to sing, pray, listen, and respond together. For families, arriving before 10 a.m. allows time to find the correct children's area; adults looking for a smaller setting can follow a Sunday visit with the Tuesday group hour.
