First Baptist Church of Saginaw

About this church

First Baptist Church of Saginaw offers Sunday worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m., with Sunday School at 9:45. The 11:00 service streams on the church website and app, and full recent services are archived on YouTube. Children’s classrooms serve infants through preschool during both services and Sunday School; kindergarten through third grade have Kids Worship during the 11:00 service outside the summer break. The sanctuary choir leads weekly worship, joined by rotating vocal, instrumental, handbell, and technology teams.

The midweek and Sunday-evening schedule gives families multiple age-specific options. First Kids Midweek meets Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; school-year children’s choirs serve age two through sixth grade, and Awana for potty-trained three-year-olds through sixth grade begins Sunday at 4:55. Students in grades seven through twelve gather Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00 for food, games, worship, and Bible study and Sunday from 5:00 to 6:30 for varied activities and service. Local missions include an elementary-school program, food-bank partnership, apartment outreach, nursing-home Bible study, and support for single pregnant women. The church also organizes short-term work in Alaska, Mexico, Honduras, and Peru. First Baptist is at 300 North Old Decatur Road.
