Christ the King Lutheran Church

About this church

Christ the King Lutheran Church is a Waxahachie congregation whose mission is to worship God, grow in faith, serve neighbors, and share Christ. Its Sunday pattern balances traditional and contemporary Lutheran worship with learning for children, youth, and adults. Weekday and musical programs broaden the church’s support for families, including a Mother’s Day Out ministry and a children-and-youth choir.

Traditional worship begins Sunday at 8:00 a.m. Sunday School for children, youth, and adults meets at 9:30, followed by contemporary worship at 10:45. During the school year, Children’s Church for ages four through ten is offered as part of the 10:45 gathering. The 33:3 choir for children and youth normally meets Sunday from noon to 1:30 p.m. and includes lunch. King’s Kids Mother’s Day Out meets Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The youth page also contains activity details that may be tied to older dates, so teenagers should use the current events calendar rather than assume every item repeats weekly. Visitors choosing between services can expect the same congregation and Lutheran identity expressed through different musical styles.
