The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Elsinore

About this church

Elsinore's only Latter-day Saint meetinghouse, at 75 N Center St, is the only one the directory lists for the town, with the nearest other 2.9 miles away in Central Valley. Three congregations share the building: Joseph Ward at 9 a.m., Elsinore 1st Ward at 11, and Elsinore 2nd Ward at 1 p.m., with the property open from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon.

Whichever hour a visitor chooses, the sacrament meeting runs close to an hour and includes hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks given by members of the congregation rather than paid clergy. A second hour of classes follows, with Primary meeting apart for children. There is no charge for attending and no collection plate passed at any of the three services. Wheelchair users will find accessible parking, entrance, restroom, and seating throughout. Since The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sets these schedules locally, and they can shift, a quick call ahead of a first visit is a sensible step.
