The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Farmington Bay 1st Ward, Farmington

About this church

The Farmington Bay 1st Ward's building, home to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, stands at 14 S Bonanza Rd in Farmington, Utah, one of eight the directory lists in the city. It includes a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, restroom and seating.

Four congregations rotate through on Sundays: the Farmington Bay 1st Ward at 9 a.m., the Farmington Bay 3rd Ward at 10:30 a.m., the Farmington Bay 5th Ward at 12 p.m., and the Farmington Bay 2nd Ward at 1:30 p.m. Each sacrament meeting lasts about an hour, with hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks by members of the congregation, and a second hour of classes follows, including Primary for children. Attendance is free, and no collection plate is ever passed around. Dress varies from casual to formal, and visitors are welcome either way. Congregations are organized by geography, which is why several can share one building at staggered hours. A quick call before a first visit is a good idea, since schedules can change from year to year.
