The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Nephi 8th Ward, Nephi

About this church

Nephi, Utah, has three meetinghouses in the directory, and the one at 351 N 100 W is about 0.6 miles from the closest other. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints keeps a wheelchair-accessible entrance along with parking, a restroom, and seating, and is open Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Three congregations rotate through the address: the Nephi 8th Ward at 9 a.m., the Nephi 12th Ward at 10:30 a.m., and the Nephi 6th Ward at 12:00 p.m. Each sacrament meeting fills about an hour with hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members, and a second hour of classes, including Primary for children, comes next. Congregations here are organized geographically, which is why three wards can use one chapel across a single Sunday. Any of these meetings can be attended free of charge, with no collection plate passed. Because midday is generally the busiest window at the building, and schedules can shift year to year, a quick call ahead of a first visit is sensible.
