The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Stansbury Village Ward, Tooele

About this church

The Stansbury Village Ward meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located at 390 E Village Blvd in Tooele, Utah, one of twenty-one buildings the directory lists in the city. The nearest other meetinghouse is about a mile away, and this building includes a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating.

Four congregations meet here in sequence: the Stansbury Village Ward at 9 a.m., the Country Crossing Ward at 10:30 a.m., the Gordon Lane Ward at 12 p.m., and the Parkview Ward at 1:30 p.m. Congregation boundaries are geographic, so it is common for a building like this to host several wards through the day. A sacrament meeting typically takes about an hour, made up of hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from lay members, followed by a second hour of classes that includes Primary. There is no fee for attending and no plate passed for donations. Some members dress formally while others are more casual, and a visitor can do either. Local leaders set these times and adjust them occasionally, so a call before a first Sunday visit is a sensible precaution.
