Highland United Methodist Church

About this church

Highland United Methodist Church is a Colonial Heights congregation that describes itself as a community loving worship, serving others, and growing in God’s love. One blended Sunday service brings the congregation together, while small groups, music, children’s ministry, Bible study, and missions continue through the week. Local service includes feeding ministries and backpack blessings. Children begin worship with their families, then follow a rotating monthly pattern of age-based classes, music, Communion participation, or a fifth-Sunday activity. Nursery care is available every Sunday.

Sunday Bible-study groups meet at 9:00 a.m., followed by worship from 10:00 to 11:00 in the sanctuary, on Facebook Live, and through 97.1 FM in the parking lot. On first Sundays, children remain for Communion; second and fourth Sundays offer age-group classes, third Sundays focus on choir and handbells, and fifth Sundays use a special activity. Wednesday Bible study meets from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a Thursday evening option listed from 7:00 to 8:00. Families should check the events page for seasonal programs and school-break changes.
