World Outreach Worship Center

About this church

World Outreach Worship Center gathers for Sunday School at 9 a.m. and its main Sunday service at 10:10 at 1233 Shields Road in Newport News. The church states that its listed services are streamed online, giving prospective visitors a way to become familiar with worship before attending. Prayer requests have a dedicated email contact, while the main office can answer questions about the campus or current ministry schedule.

Age-specific spaces are clearly mapped for Sunday School: infants and toddlers use the nursery, preschoolers have their own room, and elementary-age children are divided into grade-based classes. WOW Kids Church combines praise, worship, Bible teaching, a weekly “Power Verse,” and an interactive lesson designed specifically for children. Youth meet separately in the fellowship-hall area. Beyond the campus, the missions ministry organizes short-term trips focused on sharing the Christian message with unreached communities, including work connected with the 10/40 Window. That combination gives families multiple entry points: classroom learning at 9, multigenerational worship at 10:10, and children’s or youth environments tailored by age. Someone considering a first visit can watch online, contact the prayer team privately, or arrive early enough to find the appropriate room before the main service begins.
