St. Joseph Catholic Church

About this church

St. Joseph Catholic Church is a Petersburg parish combining Mass, confession, sacramental preparation, Catholic formation, prayer, service, and a welcome to longtime residents, military personnel, and visitors. Its connected school has served the community since 1876 and emphasizes scholarship, discipleship, and citizenship within a richly diverse Catholic setting.

Saturday Vigil Mass begins at 5:00 p.m.; Sunday Masses are at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. Weekday Mass is Monday at noon, Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., and Wednesday at 9:00. Confession is available Tuesday 5:00–6:00 p.m., Saturday 3:30–5:00, and thirty minutes before each Sunday Mass. Edge middle-school formation meets Sunday 9:45–10:50 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic School, and Adult Forum meets there at the same hour with Scripture, Catholic teaching, discussion, history, and spiritual formation. Life Teen for high-school students meets on selected Sundays 3:00–5:00 p.m., not necessarily every week. Young-adult ministry serves ages eighteen through thirty-five through changing prayer, fellowship, service, and discussion events. Public pages do not specify parking, accessibility, dress, Mass duration, nursery care, children’s check-in, livestreaming, Communion guidance for non-Catholics, or a full elementary religious-education schedule. Visitors should consult the bulletin for holy days and selected youth dates.
