Presbyterian Church of Radford

About this church

The Presbyterian Church of Radford is a Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation serving Radford and the New River Valley. Worship includes a children’s message, monthly Communion, music from a chancel choir, and occasional handbells or visiting choirs. Its community work is unusually concrete: the Necessities Pantry supplies hygiene and household items to roughly 75 families in a typical month, while the church hosts volunteers who pack weekly food for local students through Bobcat Backpacks. It also supports campus ministry for Radford University and New River Community College students through UKirk.

Sunday worship follows a seasonal schedule. It begins at 10:00 a.m. from Memorial Day weekend through the summer, then returns to 11:00 a.m. on the first Sunday after Labor Day. Services meet in the sanctuary at 201 Fourth Street and stream live on YouTube and Facebook. Sunday School runs during the school year, and the church sometimes moves worship outdoors to Bisset Park for a fall service and picnic. Hearing-assistance devices are available in the narthex. Because the published homepage and worship page display different times by season, visitors should confirm the current hour before setting out.
