City Church of Richmond

About this church

City Church of Richmond is a multigenerational congregation whose Sunday liturgy joins prayer, traditional hymns, newer music, and biblical teaching. Founded in 2006 as Franklin Street Community, the church has worshiped at its shared Grace Covenant Presbyterian location since 2013. Its first-visit guide describes a congregation of about 250 people with many children as well as adults across life stages, and explicitly invites visitors to come as they are.

Street parking is available; guests may also use the lot behind Grace Covenant, avoiding marked reserved spaces. The nearby First English Lutheran deck permits Sunday parking only on the first-floor west side, and the church warns that cars elsewhere may be towed. A ground-level entrance and elevator assist visitors who need step-free access. Because this is an afternoon service in a shared building, allowing extra time for parking and locating the correct entrance will make a first visit considerably easier.
