Bonsack United Methodist Church worships in person and online at 4493 Bonsack Road Northeast in Roanoke on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. An adult Sunday small group meets at 9:30 in Room 104. During worship, nursery care is provided for infants through preschoolers and Children's Church welcomes kindergarten through fifth grade. Youth in grades six through twelve generally meet Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; because outings sometimes replace an on-site gathering, families should check the current calendar.

The congregation began in 1874 as Bonsack Methodist Episcopal Church South. Its current facility first hosted worship in 1967, the present sanctuary opened in 1984, and a 2007 addition expanded sanctuary seating, education space, offices, and the family-life building. Today, Bonsack says its calling is to relieve physical, emotional, and spiritual hunger, especially in Greater Roanoke. Its Backpack Ministry supplies 140 weekend food bags each week, and members also support children at local schools, mentor through Kids Soar, and serve the Roanoke Rescue Mission. The congregation has also published a direct confession and covenant of welcome to the LGBTQIA+ community, giving visitors unusually specific insight into its present identity.
