Bible Truth Baptist Church

About this church

Bible Truth Baptist Church in Ruckersville begins Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday worship at 11:00, with a Wednesday gathering at 6:30 p.m. The church describes worship as traditional and preaching as Christ-centered, with the King James Bible used as its final authority for faith and life. Children, teenagers, young adults, and adults have Bible teaching, fellowship, service, and discipleship opportunities alongside the main gatherings.

This is a recent church plant, founded in January 2024 by Pastor James Ward after ministry in bus outreach, nursing homes, street preaching, music, Sunday School, and youth leadership. BTB Kids began in January 2025 under leaders with backgrounds in children's ministry, Bible exposition, and education. The congregation emphasizes local-church autonomy and independence from outside governing bodies while pursuing evangelism, missions, and service in Ruckersville. It also offers prayer, counsel, and relational support for people facing grief, personal difficulty, or uncertainty. Visitors can therefore expect a young, family-oriented independent Baptist church with a traditional worship identity and an unusually clear founding story.
