Mercy Hill Community Church

About this church

Mercy Hill Community Church in Spotsylvania gathers Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to noon near Spotsylvania Courthouse. A typical morning includes varied worship songs, Scripture-centered preaching, and children's care. Mercy Kids offers nursery care throughout the service and classes for pre-K through fifth grade after children first join the adults for singing. Workers complete background checks and child-safety training, and families use electronic check-in and checkout.

The church belongs to Sovereign Grace Churches and describes itself as ordinary people on an extraordinary mission with God. Its teaching combines Reformed commitments to biblical authority and expository preaching with an active expectation of the Holy Spirit's gifts and work. Small groups pray, study the Bible, share food, and build relationships, while Spotsylvania itself is treated as a mission field. A particularly visible local partnership is the free farmers market hosted with the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank in the church parking lot on the first Monday of each month. Visitors can expect a gospel-centered congregation where the Sunday sermon, smaller household-style community, and practical neighborhood care are all clearly connected.
