The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Davenport, Washington

About this church

Davenport Branch meets at 800 Lincoln Rd in Davenport, Washington, the town's only meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, roughly twenty-eight miles from the nearest other building in Cheney. Along with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating, the building is equipped with an assistive hearing loop.

Davenport Branch's single sacrament meeting begins at 10 a.m. Because the branch is small, first-time visitors are usually noticed right away, greeted warmly, and given a program along with a seat near someone who can explain the hymns, prayers, and sacrament that make up the meeting, followed by classes for those who stay. No offering is collected, and clothing can be casual or more formal. With the next meetinghouse so far away, it's worth calling ahead to confirm the schedule before making the trip.
