About this church
Trinity Parish is Seattle’s oldest Episcopal church, established in 1865 and now serving the Downtown and First Hill neighborhoods through worship, learning, justice, hospitality, and outreach. Its historic sanctuary and Anglican liturgy sit alongside contemporary concern for peace, inclusion, creation, and the needs of neighbors. Trinity explicitly welcomes people of all beliefs or no belief to encounter the sacred space, ask questions, and participate at their comfort level.
Sunday Holy Eucharist is celebrated at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m.; the later Rite II service is livestreamed. The 8:00 service uses spoken liturgy, while 10:30 adds choral worship. The Sunday Forum meets at 9:15 between services, and coffee hour follows both gatherings. A children’s area is near the front on the pulpit side, and nursery caregivers are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Free validated parking is available in the Skyline Garage; drivers enter from Columbia Street after turning from Eighth Avenue. Metro routes 3 and 4 stop nearby. Visitors receive a bulletin and may sit anywhere, making the unfamiliar liturgy easier to follow. The corrected name follows the parish’s current public identity.
