River Christian Church

About this church

River Christian Church in Stevenson holds adult Sunday School from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and worship from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Middle- and high-school students are invited into the adult class, creating an intergenerational Bible-study hour before everyone gathers for preaching and worship. A staffed nursery is available during the service, and children from preschool through age eight leave after the singing for age-appropriate Bible teaching in Children's Church. Sunday worship is also livestreamed and archived.

Students in grades seven through twelve meet Mondays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. for dinner, relationships, and biblical truth; the gym opens fifteen minutes early. Awana begins Wednesdays at 6:00 for preschoolers through high-school students. Founded in 1961, River is a nondenominational, Scripture-grounded church serving families in Stevenson, Carson, North Bonneville, and Cascade Locks. Its mission language—growing deep, up, strong, and out—links biblical understanding, character, shared life, and service. Visitors will find a small Mid-Columbia church where teenagers learn alongside adults on Sunday while still having dedicated youth and Awana communities during the week.
