Church of the Good Shepherd is an Episcopal parish at 805 Southeast Ellsworth Road in Vancouver. During summer, one combined Sunday service begins at 10 a.m., blending traditional and contemporary music with a sermon and Holy Communion. From fall through spring, the regular pattern is traditional Holy Eucharist from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. and contemporary worship from 11 to 12:15. The first service uses historic Episcopal rites, hymns, psalm settings, and choir anthems; the later service features an amplified praise band. Children can explore Scripture and liturgy through Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, a Montessori-based program whose hands-on materials follow the church year and respect each child's developmental stage. Outreach is equally established: since 1968 the parish has directed ten percent of every donated dollar to community work.
