Word of Deliverance Church

About this church

Word of Deliverance Church is a Berkeley Springs congregation founded in October 1977 by Jack and Shirley Hiles as a place for people who felt cast out and for training men and women in ministry. Sunday worship, age-divided children’s classes, G-42 Youth, Bible study, music, dance, community events, and an annual youth camp continue that emphasis on welcome, formation, and active participation.

Sunday worship runs from 10:00 a.m. to noon, combining modern worship songs and older favorites with teaching and prayer. Children’s Sunday School divides classes by age so lessons can be understood and applied at different stages. G-42 Youth serves ages twelve through eighteen Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. with prayer, a short Bible study, fellowship, and the message of Jesus. Thursday Bible study also begins at 6:30 for more intimate discussion of Scripture. The site points visitors to Facebook for individual event dates, and its youth-camp page still features a 2024 session; that archived camp date should not be treated as current. Newcomers can rely on the weekly Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday hours while checking social media for special gatherings.
