Saint Marys Catholic Church

About this church

St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish has served Richland Center since 1858. Its weekend Mass schedule offers a Saturday vigil at 5:15 p.m. and Sunday Masses at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m., giving households three practical options around a consistent Roman Catholic liturgy. The parish’s long local history is visible in an identity that joins sacramental worship with school, formation, charity, and social-justice work.

Families will find programming connected to St. Mary School as well as parish faith formation and service. One revealing example on the parish site describes middle-school students using money raised for their eighth-grade trip to fund building materials and hands-on work at a mission center. That choice reflects a community where Catholic education is expected to lead outward into service, not remain only in the classroom. Visitors should use the parish announcements page to confirm holy days, seasonal devotions, and schedule exceptions. For an ordinary weekend, the vigil and two Sunday hours provide clear choices in the center of Richland Center.
