Stoughton United Methodist Church

About this church

Stoughton United Methodist Church worships Sundays at 10:00 a.m. Central, both in person and online. The service uses mostly piano-led music, Scripture, sermon, and a dedicated children's moment, with Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Children may remain with their families or go downstairs for a mixed-age Sunday School class after the children's moment. Nursery care for ages zero through four opens at 9:45; attendants are background-checked and Safe Sanctuaries certified, and the church explicitly welcomes the normal movement and sounds of children in worship.

The congregation describes itself as progressive, inclusive, and committed to justice within the United Methodist connection. A youth group for grades six through twelve is being established for fall 2026, so the website distinguishes a developing program from one already fully scheduled. A church food pantry provides a direct community resource, while relationships and spiritual exploration remain central to the parish's welcome. For families, the precise nursery opening, staff screening, flexible choice after the children's message, monthly Communion, and simultaneous online service make Sunday logistics clear without presenting the church as more programmatically settled than its own current information supports.
