Grace United Church Of Christ

About this church

Grace United Church of Christ worships Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at 535 South Third Avenue in Wausau, with services also available through YouTube and Facebook. Worship lasts about an hour, blends classic forms with newer experiences, and uses a printed program with prayers and responses. A Scripture-based message often includes humor and personal stories. Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month, and the congregation invites everyone to participate. A large parking lot is accessible from both Third and Garfield avenues.

Grace describes the United Church of Christ as a progressive and diverse Protestant denomination and invites people to seek, think, wonder, worship, and serve together. Questions are welcomed rather than treated as a problem, and the church repeatedly extends its welcome to people wherever they are on life’s journey. Children remain visibly included in worship through a children’s time, activity bags, and a quiet-toy area where parents can sit nearby; Sunday School and summer Vacation Bible School add age-specific formation. For a newcomer, the profile is unusually concrete: one late-morning service, online viewing, an easy parking plan, open Communion, and a worship environment designed so both children and adults can participate without already knowing the liturgy.
