What Does Acts 19:4 Mean?
Paul does not dismiss John; he completes him. John truly baptized, and his baptism was from heaven, but its whole purpose was preparation: he kept telling the people to believe on the One coming after him. Every road John built ran toward Jesus (John 1:29-31; 3:30).
