Now the writer turns to Moses himself, full-grown and standing at a crossroads. Raised in Pharaoh's palace, he could have claimed all the privilege of an Egyptian prince.
Instead, by faith he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, turning his back on rank and royalty. He chose his true identity among God's people over the glittering one Egypt offered.
